We all slept in and then walked our five blocks to the subway. After a couple stops and changes we made it to “something” street. We walked more and then finally arrived! The Met (AKA: Metropolitan Museum of Art) was very big! I thought it would be just a few famous paintings, but it was HUGE! We walked in and ART! PEOPLE! And more ART! We paid, checked in and then found a map. This place is so big! We couldn’t find out how to get out of Ancient Egypt.

Ancient Egypt photos:

But we did it eventually and then found dresses! I took a pic of each dress. But will only share a few of my favorites here:

Momma and I walked around for a while then met up with Jett and daddy. [They bailed out after a few minutes of dresses.] We found the Asian section. I loved the garden!

I also loved the Kimono dresses pictured below:

We tried to find the calligraphy section but couldn’t. We split up. Jett and daddy went to “Armor and Arms” while Momma and I went to the medieval exhibit. There was this crazy bedroom!

There were also some stain glass windows and other art like silver spoons and jewelry.

Once we met up again we walked into a music area. The instruments were ancient and very old looking. There was a tiny piano that was very cute:

A video showed us how a banjo was played. If it was in fact a banjo!? [It looked very similar.] I thought it was just ancient. It sounded nice. Sadly, we couldn’t play anything ourselves.

We carried on to European paintings and art. I thought it would be like Leonardo Da Vinci, but not. It was very not. There were a few paintings of landscapes but most were half naked people or naked babies. It was disturbing to me. The most disturbing of all was a painting of dead rabbits that had been clearly shot by hunters. I very much did not like that one… none of us did! We walked and walked. So many paintings! We finally made it out! Phew! The end had the landscapes. I liked those.

We then ate a snack. We aren’t sure if we were supposed to eat food in that area, but we were hungry! I ate my snack under my mask. [Hee hee!] While on break we walked around and saw some stain glass windows and a fountain. There were LaFarge and Tiffany stained glass windows. Mommy claims Tiffany is the best. I didn’t study them that close. They both tried their best!

The statues were of cherubs and odd creatures and half-dressed people [like the paintings.] I didn’t care to take photos of them.

After a snack, we had more energy! We walked up a glass staircase that I was afraid to walk on, [I didn’t want to break them!] I wasn’t sure they were art or not because earlier there WAS a staircase that WAS art and we couldn’t walk up them. But that was back at the medieval section.

Once up the stairs, we looked at some vases. Here are some of them:

I loved the peacock one. I thought it was cool how the feathers were painted on:

Next, we found ancient furniture! It looked to me like Victorian or French style:

you can see me in the glass. HEHE!

I found more vases! [they are with the other vase photos] And an interesting elevator. It was ALL glass. When it came up you could see how it worked. Of COURSE we rode it down! Then, we decided to find out what the huge line was for. Apparently, it was MORE FASHION!

There were little set ups that had music. This one was of ladies dressing in wedding dresses:

This one had a conversation:

We saw many others that were just awesome! See below:

IDK why her hair says that?! See below:

This scene is a battle! The title is called “Battle of Versailles.” Momma interpreted the art piece as French ladies [from Versailles, France] trying to “one up” each other [battling] with their fashion.

Trinity pose! [If you have seen the Matrix. Sorry it's a little blurry.] See below:

Trinity pose again. below:

We kept walking and there was more! This one is my fav!

The boys left. Mommy and I stayed to look at more! We met up with and shopped in the HUGE store! I bought a book! It is called 100 dresses! [We only did half of the museum!] We walked home [AKA to the subway station, rode 2 trains, then kept walking][mommy put that] in the sprinkling rain.
