One week from today the 4 Js are rolling out of Claremore, OK to begin our greatest adventure to date! AND WE ARE PUMPED!!! Up until now I’ve felt overwhelmed, but now that it’s almost here, I can’t explain the excitement that is boiling up inside of me! The RV is CLEAN, closets are packed, kitchen is stuffed, our 2 bathrooms are stocked, and the 4 Js teeth are cleaned and cavity free! Our new truck passed testing this week when Jason and his dad pulled the fifth wheel around town to test out the hitch and make last minute adjustments. The only thing lacking is grocery shopping and packing the everyday kitchen necessities which we will accomplish early next week! The past couple of weeks have been emotionally hard on us all, especially the younger Js as they’ve have had to say some hard goodbyes. The dance recital was a real tear-jerker for Jaycie (and mom) as being backstage running from 1 number to the next is one of our favorite things to do together. And after 10 years of dancing, you can imagine Jaycie’s dance studio has become her family! Jett was also sad, but luckily is much less emotional than his female relatives! Jett is actually away at church camp having one last “hoorah” with his 2 best buds. I thought he could use as much “bro time” & Jesus as he could get! Jason and I had the privilege of retreating to Cabo with 4 other couples last week! We figured if we’re going to be couped up with our kiddos for 14 months, 1 date night wouldn’t cut it… we needed a date WEEK! It was an absolutely amazing vacation – so refreshing & relaxing. Something about the beach’s beauty, fresh ocean air, and fellowship with our people just did wonders to my soul, attitude, and body. Jason and I are relaxed, refreshed, and revitalized! This weekend will be our last Sunday at church and next Wednesday will be my last Wednesday night at youth. And then of course we still have goodbye hugs to give to our family. So the next few days will be emotional. But I have to keep reminding myself… It’s not like we’re moving away forever. There’s comfort knowing that it’s just temporary. So these goodbyes are simply “See ya laters!” We’ll be back! And then we’ll have the best stories to tell around the campfire!
